Middle Tennessee Medical Reserve Corps (MTMRC) Orientation Course

| The MTMRC Orientation Course is required for all volunteers and is designed to familiarize the volunteer with the Medical Reserve Corps concept; its historical formulation as one of the charter programs of Citizen Corps; basis for the establishment of the Middle Tennessee Medical Reserve Corps; role of the MTMRC during a disaster response; and, the organizational and operational structure of the MTMRC. In addition, the course will provide a brief description of the various responsibilities during a disaster response, overview of the pertinent disaster management systems such as, the Incident Command System (ICS), the National Incident Management System (NIMS), various resource components such as the National Strategic Stockpile (SNS), and the requirements and procedures for becoming a MTMRC volunteer. |
